"Quantifying Proteins by Mass Spectrometry: Labeling Chemistries, Workflows and Analysis"

The talk will cover the basic chemistries offered by Applied Biosystems, focussing on iTRAQ,with some information on ICAT and SILAC reagents.  Additionally, I will have a few slides which demonstrate the iTRAQ chemistry and workflows applied to one or two biomarkers applications run on  4800 or QTRAP instruments.  I will then finish with an overview of Protein Pilot, the software used to process the data acquired on iTRAQ and SILAC samples by extracting fragmentation information, calculating peaks areas and ratios for the reporter ions and presenting the data in an easy to access format.
