Abstract: Mass spectrometry is becoming a tool of choice for protein PTM analysis. However, many biologists are not familiar with this technology. In this seminar, we will discuss how mass spectrometry can be used to study protein modifications along with its advantages and limitations. This seminar is not a research talk but intended to introduce modern technologies and deliver some basic knowledge underlying the technology. Discussion will be mostly focused on phosphorylation modification.
