Ames Area Proteome Discussion Group (formerly called Animal Pathogen Proteome Research Organization)
July 31, 2002
Purpose and scope
Proteomics is rapidly becoming an important tool for analyzing the proteomes of
prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells to define the effects of 'environmental'
pressures on the proteome. The purpose and scope of this discussion group is to:
- share new information in technologies
- discuss new instrumentation
- discuss new software and bioinformatics
- discuss new procedures
- review the literature
- discuss research results
- distribute news alerts
- hold seminars and symposia
Frequency of meetings
It was suggested that we meet every other month.
Initially we will meet bi-monthly on the 4th Monday starting September 28, 2002 at 11:10 AM
for one hour. Meeting places will alternate between the NADC, campus and the School of
Veterinary Medicine.
The meeting of Monday September 28 is to take place in the Alumni Room, Vet Med. A reminder will be sent by email.
